faith keeps us going.

just some thoughts i need to get out.

sometimes i feel like the whole society now has come to a point where we’ve been fed enough for us to think on our own that we start to bite the hand that feeds us. it’s manifesting everywhere - from micro to macro areas and well, it makes me a little uncomfortable because ultimately it feels like there are 2 possible scenarios (well there may be more but these 2 are, at this point in time most jarring and evident), that is 1. the hand retracts, upon which at that time we will either a) form a better society based on individuals’ own vmg put together (but without a central figure i honestly think this would probably end up in more disaster than well, anything less than disastrous) or b) screw ourselves, for a lack of a better phrasing (that is a pretty good one to sum it up); or 2. the hand yields which in this case means option a once more, which i have said before would probably be disastrous.

you might say that i need more faith in the trust and bond between man and man. but honestly, that’s idealistic. in this real world, there’s maybe such a thing on a familial level, occasionally on a level of friendship and rarely, maybe even to the point of near extinction on most other levels (here i qualify myself again by saying that i don’t know how many levels operate, but from what i see and observe of many other levels, i think it’s fair enough a generalisation).

so yeah. i’m not even really sure where i’m going with this, but i just feel so uneasy, because there’s this feeling of yeah fantastic, we’re at a tipping point, it’s like a change in mindset which can go either for good or for worse, and obviously if you’ve been paying attention instead of glossing over and maybe reading a little into what i’ve been trying to say, then, well, you know where i stand.
